Maatran is directed by Kalpathi Agoram in tamilfilm Industry. Harris jayaraj is the music director. It will be the fourth movie of the director followed by Kana Kandaen, Ayan & Ko. Maatran will also be the second movie with Surya after Ayan. The movie will be produced by AGS Agoram Entertainment.
The movie poster reveal that the movie will be a action movie and the actor looks very rough in the poster. Surya will be appearing in five different roles in Maatran.
